WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOUR

WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOUR

Come celebrate another year at my Barometer Gallery Xmas show. Like me I'm sure you have all had some slippery and sublime times, and survived almost unscathed.  The secret life of natural dyes, handpainted, block printed and hand woven fabric has been a constant wonder of discovery. Always surprised and thrilled at the amazing textures and shades on silks, khadi cottons and linen.  Making magic with an exciting new range of quilts, throws, cushions and clothes.  Join us between 5 - 18 Dec from 10am to 5pm, or for opening night drinks on the 4th December 5pm to 8pm.

Hand painted in natural dyes....a gaggle of gorgeous bedcovers

A cosmic tribal range of cushions and  hand stitched quilts in natural and charcoal

Tassles, trinkets and treasures make up the rare vintage cushions made gypsy bags of the nomadic Banjara tribe

New Indigo Shibori quilts and cushions to add to our growing family and even some superb boro bolsters from Japan

Hand painted shawls and scarves in indigo and midnight

Mud resist, block printed indigo table cloth in indigo hues .... adoring its companions in the exquisite shop Seasonal Concepts.  Thank you for letting us shoot amongst such treasures.

A seductive selection of handwoven throws in 3 colour ways...indigo,ruby and sage

Vintage kalamkari - Blockpinted and hand painted in natural dyes of faded scarlet and a whisper of green, a unique find...perfectly matched with vintage ochre and deep forest cushions

And always a new collection of vintage throws and cushions in shades of reds, citrus, violets, blues, greens and musky pinks.

Also, I have designed a new collection of handwoven, block printed  trousers, dresses and artists smock shirts

Thanks to Seasonal Concepts in Redfern for proving a magical background for these photos.

Merry Christmas to you all and thanks to everyone for such wonderful support of hand made textiles.

See you at Barometer Gallery 13 Gurner St, Paddington ( near 5 Ways) between 5 - 18 December
